Surface RecommendationRecommendations for Use The maximum cooking volume is 3/4 of the total capacity of the pan. On stoves with grates, center the pan and align the handles with the grate. Center the pan with the flame or heat source. Hot pans should be kept out of reach of children. Before first use, wash with a soft sponge and mild soap or liquid detergent. After drying, coat the interior surface with oil or fat and heat for a minute or two. Let it cool and wash again. The Starflon pan is now ready to use, with or without oil, and always at low or medium heat (never exceeding 260°C/500°F). Use only silicone, nylon, or wooden utensils for stirring. Handles and handles may become loose over time due to the natural expansion of the material. Retighten them sufficiently, without forcing.
