Surface RecommendationRecommendations for Use The maximum cooking volume is 3/4 of the total capacity of the pots. Attach the pot handle inward toward the center of the burner. On stoves with grates, center the pot over the flame or heat source and align the handle with the grate. Hot pots should be kept out of reach of children. Before first use, wash with a soft sponge and mild soap or liquid detergent. After drying, coat the interior surface with oil or fat and heat for a minute or two. Allow to cool and wash again. The Starflon pot is now ready to use, with or without oil, and always over low or medium heat (never exceeding 260°C/500°F). Use only silicone, nylon, or wooden utensils for stirring. The handle and knob may loosen over time due to the natural expansion of the material. Retighten them sufficiently, without forcing.
